Today as usual, I opened my facebook page. And just like that, lo and behold, I read a powerful status update from one of my respected MLM Mentor. So instead of copy-pasting it in my facebook status update, I'll blog it instead. Here is the content of the facebook post:

There are many character traits in every home based business owner and entrepreneur but I only want to delve into the top character traits for a top Infinity Downline builder.

Every business is different, but your Infinity Downline is much more different than your run of the mill home based business. For instance, it takes much diligence and sales experience to succeed in MLM, if you use the outdated techniques that your upline tells you about.

But, for today’s economy and because of the vast potential of the internet (which becomes more and more ubiquitous day by day) the following traits will help you leverage the power of the internet. So, that’s why I came up with my Top 10 Character Traits for a Top Infinity Downline Builder post.


Many people see Infinity Downline as a viable option for a business and freedom from their jobs, but in the society we live in, you must have the following qualities to have Infinity Downline success (in no particular order):

10. Trust and Respect: If people can’t trust you and respect what you’re doing, forget about ever being successful or making any money in this industry. You have to be honest with people and you have to EARN respect. People see right through those who are fake.

9. Confidence: If you are not confident in the business you are running, forget about ever getting anyone else involved.

8. Integrity: I once was told the definition of “integrity” is “doing what’s right even when there is no one around.” If you cut corners, if you lie to and cheat people, if you can’t seem to do what’s right, building an Infinity Downline won’t last long for you.

7. Diligence: If you struggle with getting your work done and get burnt out easily building your MLM, this industry is not for you.

6. Innovative: Innovation is the key to business now a days. You will get left behind if you don’t figure out ways to be better at what you’re doing as well as implementing new ideas as quickly as possible.

5. Resourceful: You have to learn to leverage technology (i.e. the internet and computers) to succeed in Infinity Downline today. Did you know that only 3% of network marketers succeed today. I’d be willing to bet that of those 3%, most of them use the internet and systems to help build their business. All the successful MLMers I know use resources to help further their businesses.

4. Never stop learning: The top Infinity Downline builders in this industry never stop learning. They are always reading, always finding new ways to make money, always coming up with new systems and new trainings. The learning process never stops for a top Infinity Downline builder.

3. Willing to help others: Listen, if you don’t teach other’s how you are successful, it’s going to be a long and lonely road. If you’re in this for yourself, you will never find the satisfaction you are looking for. One of the most important and top character traits for a top Infinity Downline builder to me is the desire to help others.

2. Attract Others: This is crucial, you must attract others, not be attracted to others. What do I mean? If people aren’t coming looking for you, people won’t stay in your business. If you harass people about your business or have to go out and hunt down prospects, you’re doing this wrong. The most successful Infinity Downline builders in this industry attract new members and sales, they don’t go out and get them.

1. Aren’t Salesy (Most important of them all): And, finally, the most important character trait for a top Infinity Downline builder - STOP SELLING (pushing)! People want to get value from you, they don’t want a product. If you want to succeed in MLM, you need to stop selling and start attracting people who want to know what you do based on what they see from you, namely these 10 traits.

Duplication Is The Name Of The Game (Repost)

Today I will share to you one of my favorite Blogs ever. Isa ito siguro sa mga dahilan kung bakit nag fall in love ako sa blogging. This is about the importance of a DUPLICATABLE SYSTEM sa ating Network Marketing business. This blog is made by Eduard Reformina who is my blogging mentor. Here goes...

Duplication Is The Name Of The Game

Most networkers, even successful ones in MLM, dont have a system. it's because they build a network based upon their Sales talents, or 
because they give great meetings, or simply through the sheer strength of their personality.

You need to realize na talent In Sales Is really NOT Duplicate-able. Magaling ka mang magpresent Or Magclose Ay Hindi Ka Kaagad Magagaya Or Maduduplicate ng Downline mo.

Alam naman natin na Duplication Is The name of the game. Kahit Isang katerba Pa Ang Downline mo Pag Hindi Ka Nila Kayang Maduplicate ay Wala rin. 

You Need a System to make the Duplication very fast.

Merong tatlong magkaibigan... they saw a "Job Hiring" saying...

To make the long story short, natanggap sa Jollibee ang tatlo.

I forgot to tell you that:

          Grade 2 lang ang natapos ni Pedro.
          3rd year high school naman si Juan.
          College graduate si Jose.

Sabi ng manager at supervisor nila: One week lang ang training para maging ganap na silang Jollibee crew...

Etong tanong? 

After 1 week, sino kaya sa tatlo ang magiging pinakamagaling sa training? 

(SANA MAHULAAN MO...)

The RIGHT answer: 

WALA. pantay lang lahat sila ng skills...

Eto ang natutunan nila sa training after 1 week. Ang kailangan lang pala nilang gawin eh FOLLOW or Obey "the System".

Uulitin ko, wala na silang ibang gagawin kundi ang sumunod lang sa "system" ng Jollibee. Yung "system" na tinutukoy ko eh nasa Jollibee
Franchiser's Manual book.

Anong example ng "system" na dapat lang nilang sundin?

1. Kapag may pumasok sa Jollibee store:

- Ngingiti sila sa customer and will simply say "Welcome to Jollibee!"




2. Kapag na-assign sila as "cashier" eh eto ang procedure na sasabihin:

- " Your order is one spaghetti.... and i received P500 pesos"
- " Your change is P132. enjoy your meal!"

3. Kapag magluluto daw ng french fries eh eto ang sabi ng "system":

- Get the french fries in the brown bag
- Ibuhos ang fries sa mantika
- Press the "button" at kapag tumunog na eh
iahon ang french fries sa pagkakaluto...
- Ilagay sa small or big french fries container
- Then serve it to customer....

You get the picture? kailangan lang pala ng "System"...

Eto ang  problema ng karamihan ng Networkers. They don't have a System to follow. Pagnaubos na ang Prospect list nila ay wala na silang alam na gawin kundi Mag Hakot lang ng Mag Hakot ng kung sino sino. Motivate ng Motivate then Hakot ulit.

Don't get this wrong, I love motivational trainings but even the most motivated person can fail in this business without proper Game plan or System that he can follow and teach to his downlines.

Thank God we got a System for Our Team that we can follow and teach to our new business partners. :-)

My Network Marketing Strategy that Failed

I have always wondered why some individuals are so negative about MLM or Network Marketing. I cannot understand why, after all the efforts I exerted, showing them my flipcharts, doing  everything to push my MLM opportunity, they still can't see the beauty of the MLM business. Why won't they join me in my MLM Company? THERE IS CLEARLY SOMETHING WRONG. Maybe it's JUST ME, or those people are really "stupid" and "lowly" employees, blinded by their dependence on salary?

So i tried another approach, in my MLM strategy, as well as my "earning money" strategy. I APPLIED AS AN EMPLOYEE, a call center agent. I guess I needed to be stupid and lowly, at least for me, and my family's BASIC needs. I just said to myself: "People get rich during their SPARE TIME." Thank you, sir Robert Kiyosaki!

I tried hiding my MLM inclinations to my boss and co-workers, displaying my best, to be a perfect employee. I gained their respect and trust, but not to double-cross or mislead them. I BUILT RELATIONSHIPS WITH EVERYONE, rejoicing at the price, of a brand new PROSPECT source. I will dominate this work place with my MLM Company, or so i thought...


I decided to "blow my cover" by inviting them to my well disguised business opportunity meeting. In the process I did sponsor A FEW people, but I also started to lose my credibility immediately. And when they found out how fanatic I am with MLM, I felt like I am an Extra-terrestrial Alien. They can't believe I literally gave out FLYERS on the streets! I don't blame them, even I today congratulate myself for being able to do it, but swore NEVER TO DO THAT EVER AGAIN!

At this moment I am back where I started, unemployed but a full time Network Marketer. But I did get lots of experiences and knowledge about our Network Marketing Industry. The two most important realizations I will share to you here for free. I suggest you fasten your seatbelt,cause you're in for a ride.

Number One. "EVERYONE IS YOUR PROSPECT" IS A GREAT AND ABSOLUTE LIE! Because of this teaching and practice, our MLM or Network Marketing Industry is SELF-DESTRUCTING, and being associated with pyramiding scam. This is the number 1 reason why people are so negative about our business. Who do you think would love bugging everyone that breathes? Or who would join you in your Flyer Distribution business? I suggest you read my earliest blogs for more information about this SHOCKING realization.

Number Two. "NO SELLING REQUIRED" is another MAJOR DECEPTION in our MLM Industry. If I will choose which of these two are the WORST OF THE WORST, I will definitely choose this one.

Do you know any Legal business that don't sell any product or service? Even insurance companies have products, no matter how INTANGIBLE it might be. Illegal drug "DEALERS" have a product. And they do NEED to SELL! But definitely for them, everyone is not a prospect indeed. I believe they do have the right to teach us Networkers the CONCEPT of TARGET MARKET.

I have a previous blog about the history of the MLM Industry, I suggest you read it as well. In Multi-Level Marketing or Network Marketing, we NEED TO MOVE PRODUCTS form our company, to our customers. No product movement, no income, both for the company and for the members. That is why problems abound when we remove the SELLING of products, and replace it with SPONSORING dealers.

Sponsoring dealers, hmmm, is that Dealing dealers, or Dealers of dealers, or what? Confusing isn't it? What do we "deal" with in the first place?

I hear some people objecting: "Our MLM company has a product!" Thats Great! And I know your company do have Product Center, Service Center,  Mega Center, Satellite Center, Center Center, etc. But why are there lots of DEALERS THAT DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SELL? Do your MLM company have a comprehensive and true to the word "SALES" training?

Coz if your company do have, there would be thousand of dealers that  are selling successfully. "97% of Network Marketers Fail" would be A GREAT LIE instead of being A PAINFUL TRUTH. I know, because I'm one of those 97% Failure in MLM. One of the reasons why is because I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SELL, even one sachet of my MLM Company's Coffee product.

If there is one thing I would like to learn in an MLM Company, it is the ability to sell effectively. Even without any one to sponsor, if i could just sell the company's product/s, then I would be able to support my basic needs at least. I do believe that: "SELLING IS THE KEY TO SPONSORING". And that would be the content of my next blog. I am still pondering, if the ability to SELL should be one of the characteristics of A REAL NETWORKER. So stay tuned...

Be Limitless

I have just seen a very interesting movie. It was about a PILL that for one day, lets you access 100% of your brain's full potential, as opposed to the normal 20%. The movie is entitled: "LIMITLESS", starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.

After the protagonist, who was a NOBODY (a.k.a. LOSER), took the pill (and then took it daily), he began to see and hear everything in more detail. Suddenly he had a bird's eye view of what is really happening. He was now PROACTIVE, instead of REACTIVE, to stimuli. He became CONFIDENT and MOTIVATED, was able to recall or access all the information from his memory, and USE IT EFFECTIVELY in every situation. He acquired Organization of Thoughts and Actions, he became an ALPHA Male instantly, and became MAGNETIC in his personality.


He was able to finish writing his book in four days (he was planning to finish it before, but didn't know how to begin). he learned how to play piano in three days, was able to apply mathematical probability in gambling, and developed himself to be multi-lingual. He learned everything. Even becoming a multi-millionaire in 3 days of foreign currency exchange trading. The movie ended with him running as a US Senator.

How would you feel if you can also access more of your POTENTIAL? If you become somewhat "LIMITLESS"? What would you do? How would you make an impact to the world? Even the Sky will not be a limit!

What would you FEEL, if I tell you, somehow, that that pill, do EXIST???

NETWORKING is TEAMWORKING

To succeed in an MLM business here in the Philippines, a network marketer needs a GREAT Team. A Networker cannot succeed on his own, he needs the leverage of Teamwork to ACHIEVE Networking Success.

Ang MLM po ay hindi One Man/Woman Business, hindi ka yayaman dito ng ikaw lang mag-isa. Kailangan natin mag SPONSOR ng literal na BUSINESS PARTNERS, hindi downlines lang. Kaya nga Network Marketing tayo eh, hindi Recruitment Agency, hindi tayo recruit-recruit lang!

FYI, ang iyong UPLINES at mga downlines ay BUSINESS PARTNERS mo. Partners sa pag-asenso! Pag-asenso nino? Ng Upline mo ba? O ng downline mo? O pag-asenso ng sarili mo?

Hindi po. Success in an MLM business, and in all businesses AS A WHOLE, should be a TEAM SUCCESS. A NETWORK is a SYSTEM, and a System as we all know, cannot function if a PART fails. A failure in one part, is a failure of the whole System.

The Fellowship of the Ring TEAM

Dapat may example tayo ng teamwork. And what I have in mind is the teamwork of the Fellowship of the Ring, of the movie trilogy: Lord of the Rings. Don't worry, hindi ko pahahabain ang topic na ito.

Bago ang lahat, isang tanong muna. Sino sa trilogy ng Lord of the Rings ang Bida? Si Frodo ba na may pinakamabigat na misyon, O si Aragorn na kinoronahan bilang hari ng buong Middle Earth?

Summary of the Movie

The "WHY" o ang Goal:
Sirain ang Ring sa Apoy ng Mount Doom.

The "HOW": 
Dadalhin ni Frodo ang Ring, habang gagawin ng buong team ang lahat para ma-accomplish ni Frodo ang mission nya.

The Nine Members of the Fellowship of the Ring

The Hobbits:
Frodo - the Ring bearer.
Sam - Frodo's loyal partner.
Peregrin - "Pippin" the curious, impatient and careless hobbit.
Meriadoc - a.k.a "Merry", the most perceptive and intelligent of the Hobbits.

The Rest of the Nine:
Aragorn - a Human ranger
Boromir - a Human nobleman
Legolas - An agile master archer Elven Prince
Gimli - an axe wielding dwarf warrior
Gandalf - an elder mage/wizard, a team elected leader

And so the team went on their mission. And sure enough, they experienced tough resistance from Sauron's minions. Napakahirap ng pinagdaanan nila, in fact, it costed them two of their teammates lives: Boromir, who wasn't able to completely resist the Ring's power, and Gandalf the Gray, who died protecting the team. Dito sinabi ni Gandalf ang isa sa mga famous lines nya: "Thou shall not pass!" Kaso sumabit yung latigo nung balrog sa paa ni Gandalf at napasama siya mahulog. (Buti na lang, nabuhay uli si Gandalf sa Part 2 as Gandalf the White).

What they experienced was so painfully difficult, that Part 1 of the Trilogy has to end with the Fellowship BROKEN. Nagkahiwahiwalay sila, pero still, the team's spirit or mission lives on. "The show must go on" ika nga, no turning back. TRUST and Commitment are keys to success.

Although the team is considered complete, they cannot finish the mission on their own efforts only. EVEN THE TEAM NEED HELP FROM OTHER PEOPLE. And the following are the people not part of the team, but made their crucial contributions for the whole team:

Arwen - Aragorn's REASON for Living and Fighting. She sent  the sword Narsil to Aragorn.
Elrond - the Elf Lord of Rivendell, father of Arwen. He gave the sword to Aragorn and encouraged him by these powerful words: "Put aside the ranger, BECOME WHO YOU ARE BORN TO BE!"
Lady Galadriel - one of the three Elven Ring of Power holders
Treebeard - leader of the Ents, Guardians of the forest, trees that can see, hear, move and talk.
the Rohirrim - The Riders of Rohan, cavalry army
Theoden Horsemaster - King of Rohan
Eomer - Theoden's nephew, valiant horseman
Eowyn - sister of Eomer, disguised as a male warrior to fight alongside Theoden.
Faramir - brother of Boromir
The Oathbreakers - the Dead Men of Dunharrow, ang mga kaluluwang hindi lang ligaw,kundi isinumpa pa. They are the ones who turned the tide of battle for Minas Tirith's victory. Released by Aragorn into eternal rest after the battle.

Dahil sa MALAWAKANG TEAMWORK, napigilan ang tuluyang pagbagsak ng Minas Tirith, ang capital ng Gondor, the City of Kings, at ang natitirang simbolo ng pag-asa at pagkakaisa ng forces of Good laban kay Sauron.

Ngunit hindi doon nakamit ang totoong tagumpay. Buhay pa si Sauron, at may malaking puwersa pa na nakapaligid sa MORDOR, ang lugar na pupuntahan ni Frodo at Sam. Although they have reached Mordor, para silang bumangga sa pader ng nakita nila ang reserve army ni Sauron.

All seems lost, until Aragorn decided to risk their lives and all his remaining forces. He decided to attack Mordor for a SMALL CHANCE to draw out Sauron's army and attention, allowing Frodo and Sam to safely pass into Mount Doom. And sure enough, Aragorn got what he asked for, and their campaign to Mordor is slowly turning into  suicide.

In the nick of time, the Ring succumbed to the fires of Mount Doom, thanks to Frodo and Sam's heroic, sacrificial commitment. Sauron lost all of his powers when the Ring got destroyed, and his forces slowly disbanded in confusion.

SUCCESS. Sweet success...

The Fellowship gets reunited once again, in total victory!

Ang bawat isa sa mga characters sa "Lord of the Rings Trilogy" ay may PURPOSE o part na ginampanan. Ang iba malaki, at sa iba naman ay di ganun ka significant. Pero hindi magagampanan ni Frodo and ultimate mission nya, OOPS SORRY, repeat, repeat:


hindi magagampanan ng TEAM as a WHOLE ang DEFINITE CHIEF AIM nila, 

na TALUNIN si Sauron. Nagkataon lang, na ang makakatalo kay Sauron ay nasa mga kamay ni Frodo Baggins. In short, hindi si Frodo ang bida, at hindi din naman si Aragorn. Ang totoong bida ay ang TEAM, ang COLLECTION ng EFFORTS ng bawat isa na nag CONTRIBUTE,whether in DEED, WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, SUPPORT (either food supplies, morale support, emotional support), and even PRAYERS, Hopes and TRUST for everyone on the Team.

Sa dami ng mga characters sa movie na ito, you can relate yourself sa isa sa kanila. Kahit na pinakamababa pa ang role na ginawa ng character na iyong napili, hindi makakamit ng Team ang success without that character.

John Maxwell has a book entitled: "17 Essential Qualities of A Team Player", and forgive me if  will just emphasise THREE of those related to the movie. Those are being:

1. MISSION Conscious
2. SELFLESS and
3. TENACIOUS

Application

"MLM is perfect for everyone, but NOT everyone is perfect for MLM." - Ann Sieg

Tigilin na natin ang "Sponsoring Rampage" mindset. Tama na ang paramihan ng recruit. Minsan, kahit gusto na ng tao na sumali sa MLM opportunity natin, it's a wiser decision na tangihan sila sometimes. We can only Sponsor so much. Unless you're willing to commit the time para tulungan at itrain siya, wag mo sya irerecruit.

At tayo din naman, minsan ay magiging prospects din. Isa sa mga natutunan ko ay ang pagpili ng upline. UNLESS MERON SYANG TIME AT COMMITMENT PARA SA IYO, wag kang sasali sa kanya.

The name of the game is not about how many dealers you have, ITS ABOUT HOW MANY LEADERS YOU DEVELOP. 

And developing Leaders is not by CHANCE, but by DESIGN.

Uulitin ko uli yung intro ko kanina: To succeed in an MLM business here in the Philippines, a network marketer needs a GREAT Team. A Networker cannot succeed on his own, he needs the leverage of Teamwork to ACHIEVE Networking Success.

And Real Success is not when you have reached YOUR goals, but it is achieved when EVERYONE has reached EACH TEAM MEMBER'S GOALS. Walang iwanan, tulungan tayo sa negosyong MLM. Dahil kung hindi:
